About me

I am a veteran journalist with 12-plus years of experience as a reporter and editor, and a published author.

I began my career in the world of culture and entertainment, working for titles including BANG Showbiz, the Daily Mirror and have also been published by The Sun, Yahoo and more. In my early career, I reported from over 100 red carpet events including the British Academy Film Awards and the U.K. premieres of blockbusters such as Man of Steel, Guardians of the Galaxy, Thor: The Dark World and more. In 2014, I also conducted one of Ariana Grande’s first U.K. interviews as a burgeoning pop star. I also interviewed the likes of Jessie J, Danny DeVito and Dame Emma Thompson.

In 2016, I joined Newsweek as a culture reporter, before being promoted to associate culture editor in December 2017. During this period at Newsweek, I interviewed some of the biggest names in entertainment and the world: Former U.S. Vice President Al Gore, Liam Neeson, Gene Simmons, Pink, John Legend, Camila Cabello, Shah Rukh Khan, Nick Jonas, Common, Morgan Freeman and Game of Thrones’ Gwendoline Christie. I also wrote compelling features about the entertainment industry, including a look at Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s manager, Dany Garcia, the woman responsible for much of his success; the details behind Amazon’s huge acquisition of The Grand Tour starring former Top Gear stars Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May; and how the creators of Stranger Things went from barely known to launching Netflix’s biggest hit. In 2017, I was nominated for journalist of the year at the Asian Media Awards.

In 2018, I joined PinkNews, the world’s largest LGBT+ publication, shaping and overseeing the website’s news coverage and managing a team of passionate young reporters. During my time at PinkNews, the website won a prestigious Drum Online Media Award for specialist news site of the year in 2019.

After returning to the role of senior editor at Newsweek for a brief period between October 2019 and May 2020, I took a break to write my debut novel, This Way Out.

In May 2022, I joined Business Insider as entertainment editor, overseeing the UK entertainment team through March 2024.

My debut novel, This Way Out, was published by Lake Union Publishing/Amazon Publishing in July 2022 to critical acclaim. It was selected as one of Hello magazine’s best summer reads 2022 and was an instant bestseller on the Amazon Kindle charts in the UK and US.

My second novel, Better Left Unsaid, was published by Lake Union/Amazon in September 2023 and received acclaim from authors Bobby Palmer, Matt Cain, Justin Myers, and Lauren Ho.

I have also appeared as a commentator on various breaking entertainment stories on Sky News, the BBC and talkRADIO.
